Week Fifty-Two 2013 – 52 Weeks of Lawn & Garden Maintenance – Dance the year out or dance the year in – just a matter of perspective

Stick the right plant in, pull that nasty weed out, turn the sprinkler on and ya watch it shake about, you do the garden hokey as your flowers dance around – and that’s what it’s all about – Right?

As we draw closer to these the final days of the year, are you looking back or looking forward? Are you looking up or looking down? Are you looking in or looking out? Maybe they had something there with that Hokey Pokey!

What exactly were they trying to accomplish with that Hokie dance? A fading tradition – like a rare animal on the edge of extinction, obviously contrived to win popular appeal and since the youth today use the word hokey to describe something artificial, manufactured or second rate…

Hmm…. maybe that is what is wrong with the world today…. We have the definition of Hokey all wrong. We need the Hokey Pokey back, we need to breathe life into those dry bones and in the same reinvent ourselves. Learn how and when to stick the right foot in, keep the left foot out, bring the compassion in as you stick your neck out, you notice that your living as your running all around – Loves what its all about – Right?

I vote you dance into the New Year – put your goals before you as the sunflower majestically rises to meet the sun and follow it in fellowship throughout the summer – just remember – at the end of the song – you are ALL in –

Don’t forget to shake it!

May You have a Most Joyous & Prosperous New Year!!!
